The Small Assisted Living Alliance (SALA) is a membership organization advocating on behalf of Maryland's small assisted living facilities whose primary focus is family-style care for frail elders who can no longer live alone. All SALA member homes are licensed by the State of Maryland.

This organization is unique. SALA assisted living homes are affordable and provide a family home environment with flexibility in services and program needs. Members' homes are found throughout Maryland from rolling hills and mountains to urban/suburban or seashore settings. SALA providers have years of experience with assisting families in making the best living arrangement for their loved ones. Persons can apply for services of SALA providers regardless of current residency or state of origin.
